Tyler Whaley is a licensed architect, certified passive house designer and an active member of the Colorado Green Building Guild. His passion for building and design was ignited at a young age as he grew up around his father's construction sites on the Western Slope of Colorado. He honed his skills as a roofer and apprentice carpenter in Chaffee and Pitkin County before embarking on a career in architecture.
Tyler holds a Bachelor's of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado Boulder, as well as a Design Build Graduate Certificate and Master's of Architecture from the University of Colorado Denver.
Throughout his career, Tyler has shown a dedication to sustainable design and a commitment to collaboration with clients, craftspeople and contractors. His experience in both design and construction gives him a unique perspective on architecture and enables him to create buildings that are not only visually stunning but also practical and functional.
Tyler's portfolio includes a wide range of projects, from residential homes to commercial complexes, all with a focus on sustainable design and attention to detail. His work has been recognized with several awards, including the AIA National Small Projects Award, and has been featured in prominent publications such as Mark Magazine. Tyler enjoys working collaboratively to produce works that are considerate of the natural world and human experience.
